Privacy Policy

Information We Collect
- Contact & listing forms. When you submit a ranch or processor listing, contact form, advertiser inquiry, or email sign-up, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, and location.
- Account data. If you create an account (ranch owner portal), we store your email address and the profile details you enter through Supabase Auth.
- Payment data. Subscription billing for ranch and processor listings is handled by Stripe. BeefMaps never stores your full card number or CVV — Stripe collects and processes payment information directly under their own privacy and security standards.
- Usage data. We may collect standard server logs and analytics (page views, referrer, browser type, general location derived from IP) to understand how the site is used. We do not sell or share this data.
- Map interactions. The interactive map is powered by Mapbox. Mapbox may collect usage data according to their own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
- To display your ranch or processor listing on BeefMaps.com.
- To process and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- To respond to contact form inquiries and advertiser requests.
- To send you the BeefMaps email newsletter if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To improve the site, fix bugs, and understand overall traffic patterns.
Information Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- Listing information you submit (ranch name, location, description, photos, contact details) is displayed publicly on BeefMaps.com as part of the directory.
- We share data with service providers only as necessary to operate the site: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Mapbox (maps), and our email service provider. Each operates under their own privacy terms.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of BeefMaps, its users, or others.
Cookies & Local Storage
- BeefMaps uses cookies and browser local storage for authentication sessions (kept by Supabase) and shopping cart state.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.
- You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time, which will sign you out of any active session.
Data Retention
- Listing and account data is retained while your account or subscription is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
- Contact form submissions and email inquiries may be retained for up to 12 months for follow-up purposes.
Your Rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
- You may opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link included in every email.
- Residents of California and other states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights. Contact us to learn more.
Children's Privacy
- BeefMaps is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date below. Continued use of BeefMaps after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
