Weyl Farms Direct

Weyl Farms Direct is a 240-acre family farm north of Lincoln, Arkansas, in the southern Ozarks. In operation since 1965, the farm is divided almost evenly between pasture for grazing and woodland for foraging. Nature and the seasons dictate which is used: pastures in the mild, wetter spring and fall, and woodlands for shade in the heat of summer and stockpiled forage through winter. Fifteen years ago Todd and Ashley Weyl began learning regenerative practices, and now manage the farm with rotational and managed grazing, using observation and electric fencing to work with the landscape rather than against it. Improving soil health leads to higher-nutrition forage, and in turn better meat. Sheep have joined the cattle, with pastured poultry and pigs planned.
